Mr. Phillips He was the fellow who found a dead rat. Mr. Phillips was a logical man. Whenever he and his faithful companion Jouster were confronted with a problem, Mr. Phillips used his reasoning and superb intellect to work through the problem eventually coming up with a reasonable solution. For instance, take a dead rat or a rat that is dead, now how can you determine that that rat is dead? Well, as Mr. Phillips would deduce, you should take its pulse to determine if that dead rat or rat that is dead is indeed dead.
